Myttons Hut

Hut Added 13 December 200513 December 2005 by ianfiskianfisk.

Four bunks with mattresses. Water from tap outside - possibly from nearby creek. From 1994, DOC have stopped maintaining this quaint hut. So a group of local deerstalkers formed 'Friends Of Mytton' and have renovated the shelter into a comfy little abode. The original hut was built by the Salisburys when they grazed Cobb Valley from 1880s. The Mytton family took over the lease circa 1920. This version of Myttons Hut was built by George Lord in January 1958. So, fifty odd years on, still going strong!
